CHEAT 2.0 (I doub`t it)
Ready. Set. Go.
Players: 2-8
Requires: Standard 52 card deck
Object of the Game
Cheat also known as “I Doubt It” is one of the most exciting and thrilling card games out there, suitable for partys, at the cabin or with the family. The objective of the game is to get rid of all the cards on hand. Who ever manages to play all their cards first wins, the game continues until there are only one person with cards left, this will be the looser of the round.
The Play
Start by dealing one card to each player until there is no cards left. Do not show your cards to opponents, it can be smart to sort values that are similar next to each other. For instance if you have two 10s, keep them next to each other, type and color does not matter.
The player who has the 2 of clubs starts, by laying the card face up in the middle of the table (this is the only time a card is played faced up). Now every participant of the game can lay their “2” face down on top of the card.
Example: Player 1 says one card of 2, and lays it face down. Player 2 says two cards of 2 and lays it face down. Player 3 says one card of 2 and lays it face down. Since their now appears to be five cards with the value 2, Player 1 decides to check if Player 3 is lying, by laying his/hers hand on top of the last card played. Outcome 1: The card is a 2, Player 1 has to take in all the cards played to their hand. Player 3 gets to start next by laying one or more cards face down.
Outcome 2: The card is something else then a 2. Player 3 has to take in all the cards played to their hand. Player 1 gets to start next by laying one or more cards face down.
Twists:
– The last played card/cards by a player is valid. Which means that if you lie and someone lays a card on top of yours, you got away.
– Players are not allowed to lie on how many cards they play, for instance a player can not state “three Kings” and then lay down four cards.
Cool game, not like others I have played. I like that you can use so many different strategies, like lying on the first card vs lying on the last card.
Super fun as a pre-party game! You have to stay focused during the game, highly recommend.
